I currently work as a Learning facilitator. I manage learning in a teaching environment. I am committed to improving nursing curriculum by contributing to research, development, implementation and a review of subjects. Working as a Learning Facilitator has been a passion of mine. I do believe students have to integrate theory- based knowledge from the lecture and reading into clinical practice. I have mentored students to develop their skills, increase knowledge and be able to deal with emotionally challenging situations, becoming a proactive and qualified professional

I have worked as a learning facilitator and a clinical instructor, I had supervised students in the clinical field ensuring that students develop and practice accepted safety procedures in the learning environment.

Cyril Jewel House

​2001 - 2016

 

For 16 years I worked as a Registered Nurse at Cyril Jewel House.

Working in the aged care sector has given me th oppurtunity to learn and understand the process of ageing and the medical  complexities it brings to an individual and to their families. In this environment, I also nursed patients who are diagnose with Multiple Sclerosis as young as 30 years old and the effects of such debilitating illness to their own families, some of them with young children. These situations  brought in me that strong feelings of empathy, respect and rewarding experince as a nurse.
